DAY 1: TOUR TO SILLUSTANI: 

Accommodation at the hotel from 12:00 pm and The excursion begins with the pick up from the hotel at 2:00 pm to go to the Chullpas de Sillustani. It is a trip of approximately 45 minutes. A 1-hour visit. To contemplate and admire the great necropolis of funerary towers, the largest in Peru built with volcanic stone, towers up to 12 meters high where they buried their KOLLAS leaders with all their attire, utensils and instruments that they used in life of gold and silver in order to demonstrate their belief in eternal life, that is why it was called the house of the dead, a place chosen by many cultures such as the KOLLAS, LUPACAS, TIHUANACO AND THE INKAS for the rest of the spirits on the SILLUSTANI peninsula surrounded by the Umayo lagoon excellent place to watch the sunset in the Andes at 4000 masl where there are also figures such as the head of the puma, the image of the lizard and snake in high relief and its temple "INTI WATANA" on the way back to Puno you can visit a typical house of the area.

 

DAY 2: UROS – TAQUILE FULL DAY (speed boat)

The excursion to Lake Titicaca begins with the pick up from the hotel at 6:45 am to the port where we will board a boat that will take us first to the floating island of the Uros with a visit of approximately 1 hour. In order to appreciate their way of life and the demonstration of the construction of their Islands and have free time to explore, take photos and take a short ride on the typical raft of the island.

Later we continue our trip to the Island of Taquile, where the inhabitants still keep their culture alive, this island has a population of approx. of 2000 inhabitants of Quechua and Spanish, the families still practice the "AYNI" which means reciprocity "TODAY FOR MY TOMORROW FOR YOU" developed a community work, the help is mutual between families, their main activity is agriculture they cultivate; potato, quinoa, oca, etc. and they are also experts in the art of weaving thanks to the fabric that they make. UNESCO has declared them as cultural and intangible heritage of humanity, one of their emblematic fabrics is the "Chumpi" CALENDAR BELT where they represent their main activities and festivals local.

The inhabitants have directly participated in improving tourist activities within the island without losing ancestral customs. Near the square we will have lunch at a local restaurant based on fresh fish (trout) or vegetable omelet, then we will descend to the port to have a drink. our boat that will take us back to Puno.
