DAY 1: AREQUIPA - CHIVAY

7:30 to 8:00 a.m. Pick up from the hotel and departure to Chivay through the Yura Zone until we reach the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve (Pampa Cañahuas) where we will appreciate the vicuñas, then we will have our first stop in the area called Patahuasi to have a coffee or mate de chachacoma or coca which will help us to acclimatize, we will continue with our tour observing the various landscapes of the area. Toqra is our next stop where we will observe various llamas and alpacas that mix in the bofedales (small lagoons formed by thaws). Which shelter diversity of local and migratory birds.

We will continue until we skirt the crater of the extinct Chicura volcano until we reach Pata Pampa at more than 4,910 meters above sea level, known as the viewpoint of the Andes, where we will appreciate the snow-capped peaks and volcanoes. At the same time, we will also appreciate the medicinal Yareta that grows at more than 4,000 m.

1:00 p.m. Approx. Arrival in Chivay at 3400 m.a.s.l. Installation in the hotel and lunch
4:30 pm we will enjoy the thermal baths in La Calera whose thermo-medicinal waters oscillate between 35º to 38º centigrade degrees of temperature in the pools
6:30 pm dinner accompanied by a folkloric show and al at the same time they will taste the typical dinner.

And spend the night in Chivay – Colca.

DAY 2: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CONDOR / CHIVAY / AREQUIPA OR PUNO

5:30 am. Breakfast at the hotel

6:00 am departure to the Cruz del Cóndor, a natural viewpoint where we can appreciate the king of the heights, the Condor. On the way back we will stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque; that have beautiful colonial churches, as well as in the viewpoints of Choquetico and Antahuilque, from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley, the tombs and pre-Inca models. 

12:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm Return to the city of Arequipa
