We begin to pick you up from 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. from your respective hotels (city center), bus station or Plaza de Armas for transfer to the port of Puno where we will board a motor boat that will take us to the fascinating floating islands of the Uros.

It is said that the Uros have inhabited these islands on the lake for hundreds of years, the Uros inhabitant learned how to harvest the abundant reeds that exist and gather them in large quantities and then join them with the roots and thus form small islands as platforms , these ancient people who, despite the weather and the cold, continue to live on these artificial islands of totora today, are known as the sons of the (mother lake), they daily maintain their islands, adding new layers of "totora”, (lake plant) .

Their houses, boats, viewpoints, etc. They are made from that same plant. During our visit we will be able to explore the island and its typical houses, souvenir shops and we can even take a ride on one of its totora (raft) boats with an additional cost. After our visit we will return to Puno.
